The JJCobas PSH and JJCobas PSR01

The PSH JJCobas wasn’t a downright MotoGP bike because it was created for the Supermono

category, which has many fans across Europe and the US. This bike was driven by Xavi

Arenas –pilot from the Impala Motor team– in the 1992 Spanish Formula I Championship (which was the Spanish version of the Supermono category). The bike was built with an aluminum double beam and was powered by a single-cylinder Honda XR600 four-stroke engine. The XR600 engine was used because it didn’t have a starter motor –unlike the Dominator’s engine–, and thus fitting easily into the frame. Both this frame and the frame from the JJCobas PSR01 with Rotax 600 four-stroke-engine were built with the leftover material from the JJCobas PVH21–250cc engine and driven by Alex Crivillé the year before–, which allowed to build a very compact bike similar to the 250cc one.
