El proyecto PV

El motor Rotax bicilindrico llegava al final de su ciclo evolutivo y habia que pensar en nuevas formas de propulsar las motos de la marca por ese motivo el año 1989 comenzó el proyecto para, en un futuro cercano, construir una moto totalmente propia. El primer prototipo que se construyó se basava en uno de los afamados chasis de Cobas con un motor en V construido por Giró utilizandó como base un motor Rotax, el modelo se bautizó como PV-51. Le siguieron el modelo PV61 y PV62 del año 1990.

The PV project

The two-cylinder Rotax engine reached the end of its development process, so they needed to

think about different ways to power their motorcycles. That’s why, in 1989, they started a project

to build a motorcycle all of their own in the near future. The first prototype built was based on

one of the renowned Cobas’ frames, with a V-engine built by Giró. This engine used a Rotax

engine as a base, and the model was named PV-51. It was followed by the models PV61 and

PV62 from 1990.
